Memorial Weekend Update Long Overdue
I didn't mention anything about my supposedly salt river tubing event on memorial weekend earlier like I said I would. Sorry, guys.
Well, it turned out that it was sort of a flop weekend for me and not so memorial for me, no pun intended. Anyway, my friend from Cali, Evelina, didn't come because she couldn't find a ride back from AZ even thou she had one to AZ with her friends. Due to her graduation from CSUN that upcoming Friday, she needed to get back to Cali from AZ by Monday, but her friends had plans to travel to Utah after the river tubing event on Sunday. So, Evelina couldn't come to AZ to stay at my home and she also came up with a cold. I was disappointed about that. But no fear because I had other events to think about going to.
A play at PDCC ended up cancelled on Saturday night; friends asked me if I wanted to go clubbing which I wasn't totally up for; had no ride to the tubing river on Sunday. Unfortunately, all in all, I did nothing on Memorial weekend except greeting my mom's 2 friends, on Thursday, who flew in from NY to visit my mom for a week. They all went to Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Flagstaff during Memorial weekend. They tried to convience me into going along with them. I declined because I did not want my mom to interpret while she was on her vacation. I can speak well and people understand me, yes, but my problem is trying to understand most hearies. I did not have the desire to work hard reading lips (and having to have my hearing aids on) especially one of them has half parazyled face due to an operation that went wrong so many years ago. I knew them both all my life. Both of them plus my mom and my aunt (mom's sis); all 4 were Canasta (card game) buddies for as long as I can remember until my mom moved to Arizona and then, they stopped that thing.
Well, I had already been to Grand Canyon three times; camped in Flagstaff once; worked a job in Sedona for 2 summers. So I was fine with that.
