summary part 1
After celebrating Litha in solitdary, I had a good night sleep even though I felt a bit wired in a good way. Few days later, I went with my mother to give her moral support while she had a tooth pulled out then get braces.
Then on Saturday, I finally went to San Francisco!!! When I got there, I paged back and forth with Lem to keep eachother stay in the loop on our whereabouts upon our arrival into SF. She was on her way to get Rachella at the Greyhound station and I was on my way to the hotel from the airport. I enjoyed the city bus ride into downtown SF. Lem could not find Rachella at the station and was pacing all over there. I got to SF and walked one block to the hotel. Lem and I both wondered if Rachella would have gone to the hotel herself. Lo and behold when I walked into Aida Hotel, I recongized Rachella from the back and yelled out her name. She did not hear me at first. When she turned to me, this she pointed out to me later on which I did not realize at first (lol), the first thing I said to her, "Mel is looking for you at the station!" We just laughed mildly. (Sorry about that, Ray) I then paged Lem about Rachella. Lem came over to the hotel and we all hugged with much love. I covered 2 rooms on my card for us and our friends who were gonna come later on after us three. Unfortunately, the hotel did not have any accomadiations for the Deafs. No CC, No TTYs, No light flashers. I explained that it was the law and blah blah blah. I asked for a discount. He gave me a 20 bucks discount!! whoppee. I paid 350 (with discount). We went up to our room. It wasn't much but it did had character! The hotel was built in 1912. The room was very small with 2 double beds and a bathroom which had a old fashioned tub with claw balls! so cool. It had a huge window. I LOVE big windows. There was a fire escape next to our room. So that was a bonus for us. That first night, we spent the night just catching up with eachother then went for pizza next to our hotel. They had goooood pizza but still no better than NYC's. Back to our room, we kept looking out the room. It was cool. I happened to book 2 rooms facing the street that was going to have the parade next day. There were a window in another hotel across us with people yelling out. Rachella and I could hear them! So we yelled back just for the hell of it. I told them that what if they were saying certain things to us and we were just yelling back "ahhh!" to them and I wondered what their reaction were. We just snickered about that. We toked and drank and played Skip-Bo cards all night. The window people flashed their chests to us which was really pleasant so we flashed back with our bras on. Yes, we were chicken but hey we were warming up... saving it for the next day. Rachella and I shared the same bed falling asleep. Lem slept in the another room because Jeri and Jen were going to stay in our room so the other bed had to be available upon their arrival in the wee early morning.
