Deaf Rave in London
Here's me in one of the pixs in the Deaf Rave's Carnival 05 Picture Gallery. I am with Melly (who I stayed with at her home the whole 3 weeks).
Since I still don't know how to make a link into a simple word. I haven't really sat and played around with Blogger yet. So here's the simple link. I hope it works for you to click on. *fingers crossed*

What do you think of the pix?? :-) and the website as well?
That night was really cool. Although, at the end of the whole rave, most young people were really smashed and it was fun watching them anyway. They had shows provided which they signed songs and danced on stage. It ran from 7p or 8p until 6am. My feet were truly killing me already by 2am something. It was mostly from standing. whoo. No, I didn't dance. I tried to get drunk alas that was unsuccessful. oh well. The bright side was meeting a lot of new people. Everyone was deaf there. It was pretty cool. We, Americans, should have the same! Someone out there willing start it up here?? Also, I met and hung with the guy who is also a deaf dj, Troi a.k.a. The Chinaman, who started this Deaf Rave up. I applaud him for that.
After that rave at the club, the whole weekend was a Bank Holiday, including Monday, there was a weekend-long carnival all over in Notting Hill area. It's an annual thing for them Londoners. Caribean & reggage music BLASTED all over and there was a parade and it was sooooo crowded all the way all day into night. I had a backpack with me which was a little bit awkward carrying while walking through crowds. So sweet of Melly and her boyfriend, Ahmed, helping me out by taking turns carrying it for me. The reason for that backpack was because I had to take off for Amsterdam right after the carnvial, actually, during it. The tube station was close to that area so it was logical to bring my backpack rather than going all the way back to Melly's flat just to get my backpack then go to tube station, how silly, rite? So, luckily I caught my coach in time after tube. I just slept on the coach all way to Dover so we (passengers n I) hopped onto a ferry to France then again on same coach all way to Amsterdam.
More to come. Next on Blackpool.
